to be honest, i didn't expect much BUT i did want to sleep in--that didn't happen! savanna woke up @ 5:30am. are you kidding me?!? i kept telling her it was my birthday, but i don't think she cared. i was nice enough to set her up with some cartoons and juice and then i was comatose on the couch. she woke me up to take her back to bed around 7 or so and we slept until 9am. i was able to sneak her back into a nap at around 11am, but was quickly awakened by she squeals of fear...of her own urine. turns out she wasn't a fan of the bargain diapers i'd purchased to save a few $$ and removed it on her own, only to realize that it was there for a reason :) it was around this time that i decided to give up being lazy and go run a few errands. i must mention that it was the BEST ever Wal*Mart trip EVER, due to the snoozing company:then it was back home for a surprise #1: chris had cleaned/picked-up the WHOLE house while i was out--hello! i can't even due that! i would have been happy with just such a little gesture, but i knew (or thought) we were going to dinner that night. around 5pm i double checked with him as to whether or not i should get ready to go out, i was told "you might want to do your hair & put some make-up on, but don't get ALL dress-up." while i was getting ready he said he had to run a quick errand and would be back. i knew my gifts were already wrapped in the family room so i didn't think it was anything for me, but i was wrong. he returned with Subway for dinner, a birthday cake, and all the fixin's for a party platter--why? because all my/our friends were coming over in less than an hour. WHAT!?! i was shocked. this took planning. this took preparation. when? how? who cares...i was having a p-a-r-t-y! weehoo! mind you we didn't do anything outrageous. the kids played, the men watched basketball, and we ate cake & ice cream. i thought it was great! and i scored gifts--who doesn't like that! thanks to EVERYONE and most especially my hubby who went above and beyond to pick out great gifts AND invite the friends over. the fact that he pulled it all off without my curiosity figuring it out is beyond me. and to everyone who gave/sent me a gift THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
now for THE PRESENTS:
skirt #1 from my mom (the shirt is currently in the wash)
from my hubby--actually he purchased the much needed polos, flip-flops, and book. i bought the rest with the AMEX gift card he bought me :) beach bag, shoes, and skirt #2

these babies were purchased tonight with some cash from chris's grandparents...thanks g'ma & g'pa wilson :)
*i also received a check from my mother-in-law to "help" me purchase my coveted PB bedding for savanna's room. thanks nana D! (still sad we're missing the $$-filled easter egg hunt--BEST idea ever!)
