Hear ye, Hear ye

We ventured to the mall for a Easter dress & lunch date with friends, but the best part was the excitement the kids got from a cardboard crown. Princess Savanna and her daddy "the King" have been marching around in a royal parade. I feel a return trip to BK for a replacement will be in my future :)

Songs for Nana

Savanna LOVES the songs they sing in Nursery, but the class, not so much. Since she's still not so good at talking when she wants to sing songs it's a LONG process to figure out which one she wants. But the finale is worth the effort! Enjoy! *her current FAVE is "wheels on the bus"

I was tagged by Kayla,

Here are the rules:
Find the book closest to you with at least 123 pages.
Turn to page 123.
Find the fifth sentence.
Post the next 3 sentences.
Tag 5 people.

Seriously, the closest book is an ancient dictionary I use as decoration, but I'll spare you the details of that & use the 2nd closest:

"Oh, it's not so bad. You won't have me to do all the grunt work. Now you'll always know how talented I was when it came to hanging lights."

I now tag Danielle, Jen (Tripp), Liz, Amber, and Missy--I'm curious to see what books you ladies have laying around.

the letter "T"

Last night as I was wondering sleepily around the house tending to my toddler, I realized that my life is S-L-O-W-L-Y revolving around the letter "T." I am raising a Toddler, who just got through Teething, is now into Tantrums & night Terrors, and in a few short weeks she will be TWO!! I think I have a bad case of too much Sesame Street.

do you see it??

"cheese"

In the last TWO days I've been stopped or just told in passing multiple times how much Savanna resembles "Boo" from Monsters, Inc. I know that she's got the pig tails and babble down, but it cracked me up when we were grocery shopping and a little girl was literally shouting "Mom, it's BOO!" "Mom, did you see BOO?" Her poor mom had to stop me & let her little girl give Savanna a hug and say hi. It was ADORABLE! I don't dismiss that my daughter is GORGEOUS & lively, but as much as I LOVE little Boo in the show, I don't see it...do you??

a lil' post-valentine LOVE

Our day began a little S-L-O-W, as in I was lazy & Savanna slept all night, to which I got more sleep than my body is use too. I had BIG plans to celebrate with a holiday breakfast & such, but that plan went BUST when I fell asleep on the couch during Mickey's Clubhouse :) The day improved as us girls ventured to Target for a few misc. items and came home with my #1 pick of a gift...rain boots! I know, not romantic, but MUCH needed!! We also came across the ottoman we've been eyeing & was never in stock--does that count as a gift?? But the best gift of all was having Savanna stay IN the cart WITHOUT crying. I was able to browse the clearance racks and came up with TWO new additions to my wardrobe :) We also put the finishing touches on Savanna's valentine's & colored the table RED--oops! No worries, I had the magic eraser on hand and so you'd never know it happened. Then we took a LONG (4 hour) nap. Seriously, could anything be better?? When we woke up daddy took us out for ice cream at the mall & an quick ride on the esculator...she LOVES that thing. It was a GREAT VALENTINES & I got exactly what I wanted, but let not forget the GOOD MAIL:

Savanna received a princess valentine from Grandpa Fred & Grandma Jerry and a DOLLAR! Check out that face--she was stoked. She's carried that dollar and card EVERYWHERE...it even gets first dibs on stroller rides. I can't wait to see if she'll hand it over to pay for a treat, it should be interesting.

30 tiny moments from my everyday life

Like many of you, I am starting a journey today with the hopes of capturing the little moments of my everyday life. I am on a search for the hidden pleasures that are not overly apparent or may be taken for granted or I might just be too tired or busy to recognize. For the next 30 days I will be posting a picture that represents my life as a new mother, a wife, and a friend. Below is my first installment:

If I let her, she'd watch TV ALL DAY!! Some days I wouldn't mind, but more for the fact that she looks so cute doing it :) **did you notice the little way she crosses her ankles
