Chaos, just chaos

Not a day after my hubby left for ANOTHER week long trip, did my daughter decide to become her alter-ego. She's still cute & silly most of the time, but clingy & VERY needy ALL of the time. She pulls me away from the computer, pokes & prods while I'm on the phone, is content just to stay home, and isn't napping normal OR sleeping through the night. She might be sick, or teething, I think I've just been too busy to notice. My house is currently turned upside down with laundry lining the back hall. I haven't cleaned the bathrooms, mopped the floors (or vacuumed for that matter), my "to do" list is getting longer AND the birthday/holiday countdown is ON! I worry that I look like a chicken with my head cutoff, or worse sound delirious when I hold a conversation. Why? Because my brain is on overdrive and I think I might run out of gas! Poor old St. Patrick's day is going to get the shaft this year, MY birthday & EASTER are much more important--at least I think so. With that in mind here is my birthday wish list:
  • cute brown/black shoes for church
  • a good book (or two)
  • a denim skirt
  • the "must have" white shirt seen here
  • flip-flops
  • SLEEP!
  • sunshine & beaches--not gonna happen yet!
  • lots, and lots of laughter & fun WITH friends

Even just a card makes my day a happy one because I LOVE MAIL! Speaking of which, I received an unexpected package from an little "birthday elf" named Andie. I mentioned to her that I was hoping to make Savanna a tu-tu for her birthday, but would need her skills to accomplish such a task. Because I've been sooo busy lately I totally forgot UNTIL she sent me one in the mail. It's absolutely adorable! I almost wish it was bigger so I could wear it. Thank you SOOO much Andie! I will post a picture as soon as Chris returns with the camera. It's seems your luck with such electronics has rubbed off and ours is non-functional right now so we've been using "the work" camera. Just kidding, it broke a while back and we're too cheap to replace it :)

Hang in there Kim, a couple more days and he'll be home and the kid will be an angel again. I know me or the kids always, always get sick when the husband travels for work.
