Bunny Love

I was so excited this year but soon found out that my daughter does not hold the same LOVE for Easter Sunday. Luckily, I kept my expectations low and was not disappointed. But next year could we PLEASE have Easter, St. Patrick's, and my birthday a little bit more spread out & then we can build up the excitement for the greatness of "hunting" for FREE chocolate!

I had to laugh this morning when little by little Savanna started noticing the eggs, baskets of goodies, and new clothes s-l-o-w-l-y throughout the day. She however was NOT about to get all spruced up in her Easter duds for pictures, but I was finally able to bribe her into a new dress from Nana D. and her Easter sandals for church. We'll just have to save the debut of "the dress" for a later date :)
The greatest thing I got for Easter was a day at church with Savanna STAYING in nursery without ME! (she even sat next to me and NOT on my lap for a quick second during singing time AND participated--WOW!) Can you believe that--it's an Easter MIRACLE!

My sister's little girl is just about Savanna's age and she did the same thing with the slow discovery of eggs and her basket. Apparently it took her until almost 10 PM to find all of the SIX eggs her mother hid. The concept that finding one egg might mean there are others (mind you they were "hidden" ON the couch, ON the fireplace, ON the piano) seemed to be a little much for her to grasp. :)

Finally!!! Caleb even let Eric leave too! Maybe we'll see each other in our own class during 2nd hour instead of nursery.
