It's a shame that I'm so busy, but not so much with the social scene, just life! There were days this week when I was literally out & about with my assistant ALL day. I now refer to these days as our "girls days." We go out and run some errands, eat lunch out (before you get jealous, most days it's at a joint with A LOT of crazies & the famous "golden arches"), then we'll go do something Savanna style--play at a park, hit up the local toy stores, or come home :) I have found myself on more than one occasion having a full-fledged conversation and yet, still have no idea what we're talking about. It's a great form of communication. She says what she wants, I say what I want, and we both have said our peace and moved on. I know the babbling will soon stop, but right now, I'm living it up! I surely don't take it for granted that she cannot talk back, or at least that I can't under stand it and therefore could care less. WOW! What was I talking about before? Oh yes, our week:
Monday-We relished the fruits of Easter, chocolate candies for breakfast AND we got a package in the mail from Nana containing $MONEY$, yeah!
Tuesday-We finally saw the sun & enjoyed the WHOLE day outdoors. Savanna helped me pick-up sticks, pick weeds, and occasionally would show me the great "treasures" she'd find (dead leaves, rocks, and dirt--WOW!).
Wednesday-I got the night off from RS, so we met up with Chris at a YM activity. Savanna LOVED the playground, but even more so the ORANGE soda & watermelon. What a great kick-off for the warm days to come :)
Yesterday-what did we do??? NOTHING! It was fantastic. I lounged around in my pj's all day and we watched movies and ate snacks. I did manage to get showered and dressed appropriately for the Church Leadership meeting I attended that evening & I must mention that the company was GREAT. I am lucky to serve with such amazing ladies in the Relief Society and that we are able to laugh through the stress :)
Today-We went to Costco...we didn't buy anything, but made a return and had lunch. On the way home we invaded our friends and played until naps...well, for Savanna. I did however find a bargain gift for her birthday. I've been on the hunt for a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe car since BEFORE Christmas, but I'm too cheap to pay full price & today Kim told me about one she saw at the store for $20 off! What!?! I left then & there to pick it up and it's currently sitting next to my front door waiting for Daddy to assemble it--I'll probably just do it while she's sleeping. Hooray! *Oh and Nana D' it was purchased by YOU!
I must mention that my return bag is getting lighter by the day & it feels great....now if I could just stop shopping! Seriously, our budget could use a little help from me :)

I just realized how boring I am.
Enjoy the baby days.
Good to see you living it up with a toddler.
reading this made me really miss the days when it was just me and my little buddy Mariko. Having that 2nd baby (I love her dearly) was kinda sad for me because it was the end of an era!!!
Wow! What a full-and fun-week! Your busy schedule sounds a lot like ours. It's amazing that the shopping and laundry ever got done when I was working and now they can take up my whole week. But I wouldn't trade these days to put Aiden in day-care and go work at some meaningless job 40 hours a week. My current "job" keeps me busy enough!
