What I have learned this week:

As many of you know, Chris has been out of town for TWO weeks. He did visit us for 12-24 hours over the weekend, but still...it was a l-o-n-g trip. We are doing the "happy dance" around here knowing that he'll be home by lunch time tomorrow. Yeah! Then I will take a much needed nap :)
Over the course of this "girls only" time, I have learned quite a lot of interesting facts I thought I would share...

  • your "cokes per day" quota gets higher as the week get longer
  • cleaning the house becomes optional; as do showers and bedtimes
  • men DO help around the house
  • buying treats for your visiting teaching sisters is a BAD idea because you'll eat them all yourself
  • Wonderpets becomes funnier the more times you watch it, on that note, Tigger is hilarious!
  • I'm very blessed and thankful for good friends
  • you take A LOT of steps each day chasing a toddler
  • a gated deck is like a large playpen, it's great!
  • from Target to home is 10 "wheels on the bus" songs w/actions
  • dancing and playing the "mirror/copycat" game counts as exercise
  • DO NOT leave your child unattended with a RED crayon--frequent inspections for such items are necessary

TO BE CONTINUED...

As the wife of a travelling man, you have all my sympathy...two weeks is a LONG OLD TIME! You are a brave woman and deserve some super fantastic award like a shopping spree or massage or something reeeaaaallly good...however, good job surviving! Your post cracked me up in how much I could relate...showers optional, a balanced meal rather than cereal, eh?...funny and yet so very true!

Love the crack about how many times you sing "Wheels on the Bus" from target to home.

Hooray! I feel your pain.

And also, you forgot to mention that you learn... A bowl of cereal CAN be a great dinner!

Wonder Pets is funnier every time you watch it! Actually I've started to wonder about the sanity of the writers of that show... =)

So men do help around the house- huh? That was pretty funny. You must have really been desperate to admit that you realized that :-) j/k So many 'have-tos' become optional-you would think life would be easier without them-except that soooo isn't true :-)

That's a great list. It reminds me of my summer list (showers, bedtimes, etc)

My goodness you are so brave, i would be so scare of being alone at home, it's different when you know your not-so-better-half is comming home at the end of the day, than knowing he's comming home at the end of two weeks.

I couldn't sleep when Walt went to training in Chicago for a week.
