Personal Space

It began as just another trip to play with the cousins and all we're running around in the family room at my sister's when she mentioned that she was going to give Madison a bath. I failed to mention to her Savanna's shear determination to have a bath, play in the water--including the toilet, and join you in the shower. Needless to say, I didn't think much of it when I heard "Kim, your daughters trying to get in the tub" coming from the bathroom. I did however respond to "Get the camera!" It was then that I realized Savanna had decided to join her little cousin in the confined space of an infant tub. What I truly found hysterical was that neither seemed to mind, nor react when we all filled the bathroom with video & camera in tow. Both just carried on as best as they could. Savanna splashed & found joy in the plethora of "tubby toys" nearby, while poor Madison just sat helpless to this monster in her tub. When I retrieved the bath time invader, there was literally no water left in the tub--it either spilled over the side when she entered or was soaked into the massive diaper we removed after the fact. We all had a good laugh and I've been more aware of my daughter's desires and quests...like being drawn to a staircase whether big or small. No accidents--YET! This vacation HAS just begun.
