Unoffical Bear Lake Babe!
Having been on this particular camping trip before & having traveled 2500 miles ALONE to get there, I figured I had this mothering thing in the bag and was prepared to embark on Savanna's 1st ever camping trip. Surprise! Camping is a whole new kind of experience with a toddler in tow. No longer are the relaxing days of lounging in the sun with your feet in the lake while taking in the scenery or reading the lastest news of your favorite celebrities. No, now it's about making sure there are no broken noses, poked out eyes with sandy fingers, or drowning children. Overall, I had a great time! I did get in some R & R during nap time or while Savanna was simutaniously entertained by someone else. Here are just a few highlights...
Savanna's Favorite Moments:
Just chillin' in the sand while eating some sand flavored snacks
Riding the wave-runner with Mom (even falling asleep once)
Becoming "one" with nature (what is she doing ???)
Figuring out that when you're wet...sand sticks!

Keeping "the pigs in the barn" with Keith--don't ask, it's their game.
Mom's Favorite Moments:
- Reading a good novel while the little munchkin slept
- Taking a much needed nap after playing in the water
- Riding recklessly & feeling the wind in my hair on the wave-runner (without Savanna)
- Tan lines--actually aquiring them without intention, or rather, paying attention
- Camping in Nana & Pa's "Taj Mahal" trailer in a site with electricity & water hook-ups (is it still considered camping if you have A/C and get to shave your legs)
But most of all I liked spending time with family & friends...
